Do we need special hardware?

No. The kiosk app runs on any recent iPad, iPhone or Android tablet, the computer already on your front desk can be a kiosk in its browser, and staff use their own phones. If you would rather not source devices, you can order ready-to-go kiosk kits with stands and badge printers now. Attendance terminals follow when terminal sync launches.

How do we get the apps?

Accepted Answer

From agoo.ardent.africa/apps, and both are free. Agoo Workspace is for everyone on your team, and Agoo Kiosk is for the tablet or phone at your door: from the App Store for iPhone and iPad, and for Android straight from agoo.ardent.africa/apps. Staff sign in to Workspace with the Agoo account your organisation gives them, and a kiosk is paired with a code from the Console.

What happens when the internet or power goes off?

Accepted Answer

Agoo is built offline-first. The kiosk and staff apps keep checking people in and out, save everything on the device, and sync the moment the connection is back. The evacuation list is kept on the phones of the people at the desk, so roll call works in a blackout too. In the Console, what you type is kept on your computer as you type it, so a power cut, a dropped connection or a closed tab never loses a half-filled form; it’s there when you come back. A kiosk in a web browser is different: it needs a connection, and without one it says so and sends visitors to reception.

Can we use a computer instead of a tablet as a kiosk?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Agoo Kiosk in a web browser turns the computer already on your front desk into a kiosk: a desktop, a laptop or a Chromebook, or a tablet’s browser, with nothing to install. Add a computer’s browser under Devices in the Console, open your organisation’s kiosk address on that computer and type the code. Visitors check in, show a pass, find today’s invitation by name, check out and leave feedback, couriers log parcels, and staff clock in with their name and PIN. It needs a steady connection, and it has no staff badges or cards, ID reading, badge printing or gate mode: for those, use the Agoo Kiosk app on a tablet or phone. You can use both at the same site.

Question 5

Does the kiosk in a browser work without internet?

Accepted Answer

No. A kiosk in a browser needs a connection for everything it does, and keeps nothing to send later. If the connection drops, the screen says so and asks visitors to see reception, then comes back by itself when the network does. Where the network or the power is unreliable, use the Agoo Kiosk app on a tablet or phone: it keeps checking people in offline and syncs when the connection returns.

Does a browser kiosk cost extra?

Accepted Answer

No. A kiosk in a browser takes one of your plan’s kiosks and devices, exactly like a tablet, on every plan, Free included. There is no separate price and nothing to download.

Can Owners and Admins run Agoo from their phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in the Agoo Workspace app, on every plan. Manage shows each person the parts their role allows: the people directory with invitations, roles and sites; every device’s health, pairing a kiosk by scanning a code on your phone, and closing a kiosk for now; visitor reports to share as PDF or Excel; QR codes with their scans, pausing and changing where a link goes; self check-in and kiosk switches; billing at a glance; and the audit trail. Setting things up stays in the Console on the web.

Can visitors without a smartphone use it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Walk-ins use the kiosk at reception. Invites and passes go out by SMS, which works on any phone, and a pass code can be typed at the kiosk if there is no QR to scan.

Question 9

Can visitors check themselves in without a kiosk?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on every plan. Turn on self check-in for a site, and the check-in poster at its entrance opens a short check-in on the visitor’s own phone: why they’re visiting, their name and phone, who they’re visiting (found by typing a name, never from a staff list) and your questions for that kind of visit. Your watchlist, approval rule and the host’s alert apply as they do at a kiosk, and reception sees them arrive. No app or account is needed, and anyone who’d rather not use their phone checks in at reception.

Question 10

What can visitors do from their pass?

Accepted Answer

The link in their invitation opens their pass on your own Agoo address, such as voltabank.agoo.ardent.africa, or on your own domain, with your logo and colour as your plan allows. Besides the QR code for reception, it has directions, a calendar file and a button to add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, and lets them tell the host they’re running late, ask for another time or cancel. Once they’re in, “I’ve left” checks them out. Hosts can approve or decline a waiting visitor from the link in their own message, without signing in.

Question 11

Can visitors keep their pass in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on every plan. The pass page has Add to Apple Wallet and Add to Google Wallet buttons, and the Wallet pass carries the same digitally signed QR code, so it works at the kiosk and the gate even with no network. It comes up on the lock screen near your site around the time of the visit, and updates itself if the time changes or the visit is cancelled. It shows Agoo’s look on Free, your logo from Starter and your brand colour from Growth. Nothing is offered while a visit waits for its host’s approval, and Apple or Google only receive the pass when the visitor chooses to add it.

Question 12

Can visitors ask to visit, or sign our documents, before they arrive?

Accepted Answer

Yes. From Starter, turn on visit requests for a site and share your request page or its QR poster: the visitor confirms their phone or email with a one-time code, says why they’re coming and finds their host by name, and the host approves before any pass is sent. On their pass, visitors answer your questions for their visitor type and accept your privacy notice (every plan). On Pro and Enterprise they also sign NDAs, waivers and site rules with their typed name and a drawn signature, and get a PDF copy; anyone who signed on paper is recorded at the desk.

Question 13

What if a visitor isn’t here to see one person?

Accepted Answer

Then the visit is for whoever they did come to see, on every plan. An invitation or a walk-in can be for several people, with one of them leading, or for a team such as Admissions or Accounts. Everyone on the visit is told. With a team, the first member to say yes becomes the host and the others hear it has been taken; with several people, you choose for each visitor type whether anyone may answer or only the lead. At the kiosk and on your visitor pages, each visitor type decides whether visitors may name several people or choose a team, and they only ever see the teams you’ve marked for visitors. The pass says who the visit is for.

Question 14

What if nobody is expecting them?

Accepted Answer

They choose “No one in particular”, where you offer it, and reception receives them, or the person or team you’ve named for that kind of visitor. The visit waits in a list called Needs someone, in the console and on reception’s phone in the Agoo Workspace app. From there the front desk asks a person or a team, who answer from the app, the console or the link in their message: see them, ask them to wait and for how long, not today, or no. The desk can also write down an answer it got by phone, take the visitor itself, hand them over, book them in for another time, or turn them away with a reason only staff see. Every step is on the visit’s timeline and in the audit trail.

Question 15

Can our director’s visitors go through their office?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on every plan. For each person you choose where a walk-in asking for them goes first: straight to them, to reception, to their assistant, or to a team such as the Head Teacher’s Office. Whoever receives the visitor asks the director, takes the visit, books the visitor in or turns them away, and the visitor is never told why they wait. You can also leave someone out of the names visitors can find at the kiosk and on your visitor pages. Neither setting touches people they invited or who booked a time: those visitors are expected and come straight through.

Do passes still work when the network is down?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every pass, on every plan, carries a code digitally signed with your organisation’s own key, so a kiosk or guard can check it with no connection: who it’s for, the days and hours it admits, and the gates it opens. A pass waiting for its host’s approval is never signed. You can replace the key in Settings at any time, and passes are signed with the new one the next time they’re opened. Multi-day passes (from Starter) let a visitor back in each day, and pass rules (from Growth) can make a pass single use, limit it to an entry window or to certain gates.

Can Agoo log parcels and deliveries too?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on every plan, Free included. Reception logs a parcel in the Console or on their phone in the Agoo Workspace app, guards log one at the gate, and couriers can log their own at a kiosk or by scanning a drop-off poster with their phone, if you allow it. A photo of the label suggests who it’s for: a person, a team, or reception itself. Whoever it’s for is told at once, on their phone first, with a one-time code to collect it, and reminded until they do; food sooner. Reception hands it over with the code, a signature, or a reason of their own, and everything is in the parcel’s story and your audit trail. The apps do all of it offline. Reading labels with Agoo’s AI is there if you turn it on, at 1 AI credit a label.

Question 18

How do you protect personal data?

Accepted Answer

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited by role and site, and every action is written to an audit trail. You choose what to collect and how long to keep each kind of data; deletion then runs on schedule and is logged. You can export everything Agoo keeps for you at any time. Agoo is built to help you meet Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

Question 19

How does Agoo handle Ghana Cards under L.I. 2523?

Accepted Answer

L.I. 2523 says an organisation mustn’t rely on looking at a Ghana Card, or on a photocopy, scan or image of one, to check who someone is. Agoo doesn’t check who anyone is, and it never keeps an image of a Ghana Card: the Agoo Kiosk app reads the card’s number on the device and discards the picture at once, or the visitor types it, and you can choose typing only. Passports can be read the same way, and other IDs photographed if you ask. Every number is sealed, with only the last four characters shown, and ID photos are deleted after a day unless you choose up to 30. Agoo records the ID a visitor gives; it doesn’t claim to check who they are. Staff documents follow the same rule: HR records hold the Ghana Card number, sealed, and no copy of the card is ever kept.

Question 20

Can Agoo staff see our data?

Accepted Answer

Only when it helps you, and always in the open. Our support team can open your organisation read-only, for a set time and with a reason, and every Owner is told at once and can end it. Changes need an Owner’s approval, and exports, billing and giving anyone access are never part of support. If something can’t wait, such as nobody being able to sign in, our platform owner can act at once after checking the request, your Owners and Admins are told immediately, and we send a written report within 72 hours. All of it is in your audit trail.

Question 21

Can our staff sign in with Google or Microsoft?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on every plan, Free included. Your people choose Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft and sign in with their work account; two-step verification still applies. You decide which providers count, whether personal Gmail and Outlook.com accounts may be used, and which Google Workspace domains and Microsoft organisations are allowed, and you can require it. Nobody joins your organisation just by signing in: they’re invited first. You can start your own organisation with your work Google or Microsoft account too, and your Owner always keeps a password and authenticator, so a Google or Microsoft outage never locks you out.

Question 22

What happens if someone loses their phone?

Accepted Answer

They can get back in safely. From the sign-in page they confirm their email, then an Owner or Admin who knows them checks it’s really them and approves, and they set up their new phone. If nobody in the organisation can approve, we check their identity ourselves and the reset waits 24 hours. Everyone involved is emailed at each step, with a way to stop it. If your Owner has left, we can make someone else the Owner after seeing evidence, with 72 hours’ notice your Owner and Admins can stop.

What is an Agoo ID?

Accepted Answer

The one account each person uses across Agoo: the Console and the Agoo Workspace app at work, Agoo Reviews and Agoo Forms. At work you see every browser and phone signed in to your account and can sign any of them out within seconds; on Agoo Reviews and Agoo Forms, every change to how you sign in is told to every way in you have; and two accounts are never joined because their addresses look alike: it takes a code sent to each. There’s nothing extra to sign up for, and it costs nothing.

How will we hear about maintenance or changes?

Accepted Answer

In Agoo itself. New features wait in the bell and on a What’s new page, planned maintenance shows as a banner with its window ahead of time, and anything your organisation needs to do stays on screen until it’s done. Owners and Admins can also get maintenance and action-needed notices by email; we never email product news. If a messaging provider has a problem, we can pause that channel and your messages go by the next one, so nothing is lost.

Can we use our own branding?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your logo, colours and welcome message appear on the kiosk, passes, emails and SMS sender ID, with a small Powered by Agoo credit. Paid plans can use your own domain for visitor and booking pages, and Pro can remove Agoo branding from the kiosk entirely.

Can our visitor pages use our own domain?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from Starter. Passes, booking pages, visit requests and self check-in can live on a subdomain of yours, such as visit.yourcompany.com, instead of your Agoo address. An Owner or Admin adds it in Settings, you add one CNAME record with whoever runs your domain, and we issue and renew the security certificate for you. On Pro and Enterprise, new tracked QR codes can use a short-link domain of yours too, such as go.yourcompany.com. If you later move to a plan without your own domain, links go back to your Agoo address and your domain sends visitors there, so nothing you’ve printed or sent stops working.

Question 27

How do we pay?

Accepted Answer

In Ghana cedis, in Billing in the Console. Pay by mobile money (MTN, Telecel, AirtelTigo), card or any other way Paystack offers in Ghana, or ask for an invoice to pay by bank transfer, cheque or against a purchase order (due in 14 days, 30 with a PO, or, for a renewal, by its renewal date). Organisations that pay only by invoice can have Agoo send every invoice by email instead. A saved card renews automatically; mobile money can’t be debited automatically, so before each renewal we send a link to approve on your phone, by email and SMS. Card details stay with Paystack and are never stored by Agoo.

Question 28

Do your invoices show VAT?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Prices exclude VAT, and every invoice adds and lists VAT 15%, NHIL 2.5% and GETFund 2.5% (20% in total, rounded once on the total), with Ardent’s TIN and VAT number and, if you add it, yours. Every invoice and receipt is in Billing as a PDF.

Question 29

What happens if we upgrade in the middle of a month?

Accepted Answer

You choose before you pay, with both amounts shown. Either the new plan starts now and you pay the difference for the days left, keeping your renewal date, or a new period starts today and the unused days of your old plan are credited on the invoice. Moving to a cheaper plan, or from annual to monthly, starts when your paid period ends.

Can we cancel?

Accepted Answer

Yes, any time in Billing. Your plan runs to the end of the period you’ve paid for, then you move to Free with your data kept: features above Free become read-only and older records are hidden, not deleted, and come back when you choose a plan again. There’s no refund for the rest of the period, and you can download a full export whenever you like.

Is it only for visitors?

Accepted Answer

No. The same system books appointments and meetings, in person or online, and runs staff attendance with rosters, overtime, leave and timesheets, and keeps your staff records with their job history and documents, reminding you before a licence or permit runs out. Many organisations start with one and switch the others on later. Every plan also includes Agoo Forms, for registrations, applications, requests and surveys.

Drag questions onto a page, Ghana’s own included (Ghana Card, digital address, regions and districts, phone numbers and cedis), share the form on WhatsApp, by QR code or on your website, and watch the answers come in. Forms Free is free for ever with unlimited forms and 1,000 responses a month, and every Agoo plan includes a level: Free has Forms Free, Starter Forms Plus and Growth and above Forms Team. It’s open to invited makers until it opens to everyone: ask for early access on agoo.ardent.africa/start/forms.

Question 33

Can staff clock in on their phones, and does Agoo track them?

Accepted Answer

Yes, they can, and no, it doesn’t. Where you switch it on, staff clock in from the Agoo Workspace app: at the site, where the app checks their location once, at that moment, against the site’s area or checks they’re on its Wi-Fi, or by scanning the code on the kiosk, which changes every 30 seconds. It never follows anyone in the background. Before the app uses location or takes a selfie, it shows your notice, and where you ask for consent, staff can say no and use the kiosk. Coordinates are kept only if you choose to keep them; otherwise Agoo records only whether they were at the site. It works offline too.

Does Agoo handle leave, approvals and Ghana’s public holidays?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on every plan. Each person in People has a line manager, who sees their team’s attendance and approves their leave, extra time and timesheets, whatever their role. HR has a role of its own, for people’s records, leave, timesheets and the payroll export, without billing, security or settings. When you set up, Agoo asks how your working day runs, when overtime starts, your leave year and how timesheets are approved, with the Labour Act’s defaults filled in, such as a 40-hour week and 15 days’ annual leave. Breaks follow the Act too: a paid break counts as worked, and an unpaid lunch comes off automatically, never from a half day, unless someone clocks out for it or punches Start break and End break, at the kiosk or in the app. Agoo keeps Ghana’s public holidays current, including the days declared each year, such as Eid and Shaqq Day. Overtime is on every plan too. Rosters come with Growth: you plan each site on a drag-and-drop roster with repeating patterns and rotations, or import it from a spreadsheet, and when you publish it, each person is told once and sees their shifts in the app. Staff claim open shifts and swap shifts with colleagues there, approved by their manager like leave, and Agoo warns when a roster leaves someone under 12 hours’ rest or without 48 hours off in a week, as the Act requires. Payroll files come with Pro.

Question 35

How does Agoo count overtime under Ghana’s Labour Act?

Accepted Answer

Overtime is on every plan. Under the Labour Act, overtime is the time someone works beyond the hours your rules fix, and you can require it only once you’ve fixed your overtime rates (section 35). Agoo starts from the Act’s 8 hours a day and 40 a week, which you change to your own, and the day’s hours are a shift’s paid length, or your standard working day’s (never less than 8 hours). Time past those hours waits for a manager to approve all, part or none of it, in the Console or in the Agoo Workspace app, before it counts, unless you choose to count it straight away. Shift workers can average their hours over up to four weeks, as the Act allows, and work-rule sets give groups with different hours their own. Work on a rest day or a public holiday is counted apart, and time at night can be counted for an allowance you pay. The law doesn’t set an overtime rate, so Agoo counts the hours and your payroll pays them at your rates, from the timesheet export, or on Pro from a payroll file with your own pay codes.

How does leave work in Agoo?

Accepted Answer

Leave is on every plan. Each organisation starts with Ghana’s leave types and the Labour Act’s minimums filled in, such as 15 working days’ annual leave and 12 weeks’ maternity leave, and changes or adds to them. Staff ask in the Agoo Workspace app, seeing the days it counts and the balance it leaves, and add a certificate from the camera. You choose who approves: the line manager, the line manager then HR, HR alone or nobody (Enterprise can build its own chain), and managers approve with a swipe on their phone or in the Console. While an approver is away, a deputy they name, or their own manager and then HR, decides for them, and a request nobody decides moves up after the time you set. HR can also record leave for someone in the Console. Agoo counts working days only, so public holidays and days off never use annual leave, keeps a balance for each person and type with every day explained, handles sickness during leave and recalls as the Act says, and carries leave over at the year’s end by your rules. Sick and maternity leave show to managers only as Away, and medical certificates are kept privately, for the person and HR only.

How are timesheets approved before payroll?

Accepted Answer

On every plan, the way you choose. Each organisation picks its period, weekly, fortnightly or monthly with a cut-off day such as the 25th, and who approves: the line manager then HR, HR alone, or nobody, in which case each timesheet locks itself a few days after the period (Enterprise can build its own chain of up to five steps). If you want, staff check and confirm their own timesheet in the Agoo Workspace app first. Nothing can be approved while a clock-out is missing or extra time or leave is still waiting for a decision, and the timesheet says what’s left. Managers approve several at once in the Console or with a swipe on their phone, and nobody approves their own. Once approved, a timesheet is locked: changing a punch, leave or a shift on those days means reopening it with a reason, which the person is told. Set your payroll day, and approvers are reminded once a period and HR before payroll. A night shift stays on the evening it starts. Payroll files come with Pro.

Question 38

Can Agoo give our payroll a file it can read?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on Pro and Enterprise. Once a period’s timesheets are approved and locked, HR makes one payroll file for the whole organisation or chosen sites, as CSV or Excel. Every hour and day is under a pay code: regular time, overtime, rest-day and public-holiday work, night time, paid and unpaid absence, and each kind of leave. Agoo fills in codes to start, and you rename them and set each multiplier, or leave the rate to payroll, since the Labour Act sets no overtime rate. The file has one row per person and pay code, or one row per person, with their employee number, name, department and site so payroll can match them; the Excel file adds every day and a sheet of notes on who approved and who is still waiting. If your payroll wants its own columns, build your own layout once, with your headings, separator, date format and file name. Named formats for payroll systems used in Ghana follow. Agoo won’t make a file while any time has no pay code, rather than quietly calling it regular time. Each file is kept to download again, and if a timesheet is reopened afterwards, the next file carries the difference as a correction, so the file you sent never changes.

Can Agoo keep our staff records?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on every plan. Each person has an HR record beside their directory entry: their legal name, date of birth, contact details and GhanaPost GPS address, their contract, probation, notice and grade, their Tier 2 and Tier 3 schemes, emergency contacts, next of kin and beneficiaries. Departments have a head, a parent and a cost centre, and from Growth you can add positions with their vacancies. Every change to someone’s job is kept with the date it takes effect: HR makes it, or a line manager proposes it and HR approves, and a change from a future date applies by itself on the day. Staff see their own record in the Agoo Workspace app and change what you allow.

How do you protect Ghana Card, SSNIT and bank details?

Accepted Answer

They’re encrypted the moment they’re saved, and everyone sees only the last four. Only the Owner and HR can see a full number, and each time they must give a reason: it shows for 60 seconds and the reason goes into the audit trail. Changing where someone is paid, bank or mobile money, needs a fresh check that it’s really them or HR, and the person is always told by email and on their phone, with This wasn’t me if they didn’t make the change. That holds the accounts until HR checks them, so nothing is paid into an account someone else put there.

Can hosts look after their visitors from their phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In the Agoo Workspace app, hosts see who’s waiting for them, who’s here and who’s coming, and approve or decline with one tap, even with no signal: the answer goes through as soon as the phone is back online. When a visitor arrives, a notification lets them approve, or tell reception they’re coming or to ask the visitor to wait, straight from the lock screen. They can invite a guest, picking them from their contacts (the app sees only the person they choose, never their address book), send a pass again, move or cancel a visit, answer booking requests, move bookings and set the hours people can book them. Inviting guests is included from Starter.

Question 42

Can visitors reply to us on WhatsApp?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When a visitor or guest replies to their pass, reminder or booking on WhatsApp, the message comes to your organisation with the visit or booking it’s about, and they get an automatic reply straight away. Reception and security answer every conversation at their sites in the console, and the host is told and answers their own visitors from the console or the Agoo Workspace app. Each reply counts as one WhatsApp message (GH₵0.09), and after 24 hours you can send a follow-up, which counts as five (GH₵0.45), from your plan’s WhatsApp allowance first, then your wallet. You choose who answers and can set a monthly budget for replies, with alerts and a stop. Anyone who replies STOP gets nothing more on WhatsApp. Answering is included from Starter; on Free you can read every conversation and Agoo’s team answers. Agoo’s WhatsApp is for messages about visits and bookings and replies to people who wrote, never marketing or broadcasts.

Question 43

Can our guards log vehicles at the gate?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on every plan. In guard mode, the guard points the gate device at the plate and Agoo reads it on the device, even with no network, or they type it. Agoo says at once whether it’s a staff member’s or a resident’s car, one of your own vehicles, a visitor expected today (hosts can add the plate when they invite) or a plate you’ve barred. For anything else the guard taps what it’s here for and who it’s for, and takes a photo of it if you ask for one. A barred plate stops at the gate and security is told at once; letting one in anyway needs the name of whoever said so, and it’s logged. The console shows what’s inside right now and the full log, and plates are kept 30 days unless you choose otherwise.

Do staff get notifications on their phone? What do they cost?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and nothing. Everyone with the Agoo Workspace app on an iPhone, an iPad or an Android phone or tablet gets their alerts there first, unlimited on every plan, Free included: a visitor at reception, a visit to approve, a booking to confirm, a check-in held for security, an emergency roll call, a reminder when a shift starts or a clock-out is missed, their new shifts when a roster is published, an open shift they can take or a colleague’s offer of a shift, and a manager’s answer on their leave, their extra time or their swap. They answer from the lock screen once they’ve unlocked their phone: approve or decline, tell reception they’re coming or to ask the visitor to wait, or say they’re safe. If a notification doesn’t reach their phone in time, the same alert goes by WhatsApp, SMS or email, so nobody misses it. You choose whether visitors’ names show on a locked phone.

What happens in an emergency? Can we raise the alarm from a phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Whoever sees it first, at reception, the gate or in security, opens the Agoo Workspace app and holds the emergency button for two seconds, so it’s never sent by accident. Everyone checked in or clocked in at the site gets a message with a link to say they’re safe, and the desk, security and the console see one live list of who’s safe and who isn’t yet, with a call button for anyone still missing. Staff with the app get it as an emergency notification that breaks through Focus on iPhone and Do Not Disturb on Android, and tap “I’m safe” on it. Marshals mark people safe on their phones, even with no network. You choose whether receptionists and guards can raise it; drills and ending a roll call stay with security and admins. Emergency alerts and roll call are included from Starter.

Can staff use their phone as their badge?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on every plan. In the Agoo Workspace app, staff set up their badge once, then hold their phone up to the kiosk to clock in or out. The code on screen changes every 30 seconds and is made by a key kept in the phone’s security chip, so a screenshot is no use to anyone else, and the kiosk checks it with no network. Staff can also set their own kiosk PIN in the app. Printed badges, cards and PINs still work alongside it.

Can people book appointments with us online?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on every plan. Each kind of appointment gets a booking page on your own Agoo address, with a link to share, a QR code for posters and a snippet that puts it inside your own website. People choose the length and the way to meet that you offer (in person, video, phone or at their address), pick a free time and confirm their phone or email with a code. Each host sets their own hours, and public holidays and your closed days are never offered. If a host must approve each booking, they confirm or decline from the link in their message or in the Agoo Workspace app. Full days can take a waitlist, reminders go by SMS, WhatsApp or email, and in-person bookings arrive with a QR pass like any invited guest. Free includes 50 bookings a month, each attendee counting once.

Do you work with Google and Outlook calendars?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in two ways. On every plan, Free included, each person has a private link that shows their Agoo diary (the bookings they take, the visitors they’re expecting and their approved leave) in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook. From Starter, people also connect their own Google account, Microsoft 365 or Outlook.com, up to six accounts each. Agoo reads only when they’re busy, from the calendars they choose, so their booking pages never offer those times, and adds each confirmed booking to the calendar they pick, moving or removing it when the booking changes. It never keeps what their meetings are about, who’s in them or what they say, and it only ever changes the events it added. Owners and Admins decide who may connect, which providers and how much Agoo’s events say, and anyone can disconnect at any time.

Can Agoo make Zoom, Teams or Meet links?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from Starter. Each booking type chooses how its video meeting is made: a link you paste, or a new Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Zoom meeting made from the host’s own connected account when the booking is confirmed. The guest gets the link in their confirmation, every reminder and on their booking’s page, and it’s in the host’s calendar too. Teams links need a work or school Microsoft 365 account, Zoom meetings have the waiting room on and recording off, and a host who hasn’t connected that account uses their own meeting link. If a link can’t be made, the host is told at once and can make a new one or add their own; the guest never sees an error.

Can visitors get our Wi-Fi without asking for the password?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on every plan, once you turn it on. Save your Wi-Fi once in the Console and Agoo gives it to visitors only while they’re checked in: one scan of the code on the kiosk’s welcome screen joins their phone, their pass shows the password with a copy button, Apple Wallet offers to join, a welcome message at check-in can link them to it, and reception can put the code on screen for them. It’s gone when they check out. You choose who gets it (everyone, chosen visitor types, or only the visitors reception picks), and visitors accept your Wi-Fi terms first. A Guest Wi-Fi poster always shows the current password, so changing it never means a reprint. Staff join your staff Wi-Fi in one tap in the Agoo Workspace app, and see the password only if you allow it. Passwords are sealed with their own encryption key, every look at one is recorded, staff networks never reach a visitor, and Agoo keeps nothing about anyone’s phone.

Can we make our own QR codes?

Yes, in the Console, with no ads or watermark. Plain codes, for Wi-Fi, a menu or a contact card, are unlimited on every plan. Tracked codes use a short link on agoo.click, so you can change where they go after printing and see how often they’re scanned: 3 on Free, 25 on Starter, 200 on Growth, 1,000 on Pro and unlimited on Enterprise. On Pro and Enterprise, new tracked codes can use a short-link domain of your own instead. A tracked code never stops working, even if you move to a lower plan.

We run several organisations. Can Agoo bring them together?

Accepted Answer

Yes. One sign-in covers every organisation you belong to, with your role in each, on every plan. On Pro (up to 5 organisations) and Enterprise, you can lead a group: combined dashboards and reports, a shared watchlist, common rules such as two-step verification for everyone, and one monthly bill. Each organisation’s Owner decides what the group can see inside it, from totals only to admin, and can leave at any time.

How do we know if something isn’t working?

Check status.agoo.ardent.africa. It checks every part of Agoo every minute from outside and runs separately from it, so it stays up even if Agoo doesn’t. It shows what’s happening now, planned maintenance and 90 days of history, and you can subscribe for emails. Anything we’re fixing also shows at the top of the Console.

Can our visitors tell us how we did?

Yes. After a visit or a booking, Agoo asks once in your name, by WhatsApp, SMS or email, and walk-ins can scan a feedback poster. You see honest numbers with how many answers each rests on, and low scores go straight to someone who can follow up. What they tell you privately stays private: it never feeds a public score.

What is Agoo Reviews?

Our open review platform for Ghana and Africa, at agoo.reviews. Anyone can read it, with no account, and anyone with an account confirmed by phone or email can review any business. Every review carries a label saying how it was checked, and Verified visit, from a real Agoo check-in or booking, is the strongest. Labels never move a score, money never changes a score, the order of reviews or a place in search, and no business can edit, hide or reorder a review. Ardent’s own team moderates it, with AI screening first, to published rules.

Will we be on Agoo Reviews?

If you serve the public, yes; security sites and residential estates are listed only if they ask. Agoo Reviews, at agoo.reviews, is an open review site: anyone with an account confirmed by phone or email can review any business, and add one that’s missing. Your page opens 14 days after your Owner and Admins are told, with every branch listed free, and it stays open even if you leave Agoo. Every review says how it was checked, and Verified visit, from a real check-in or booking, is the strongest. You can reply to any review, flag one that breaks the rules, answer customers’ questions and add up to 30 photos, free, but no business can edit, hide, reorder or pay to change a review, and money never moves a score or a place in search.

Can we invite our customers to review us?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as long as you invite everyone. Agoo can ask every visitor whose visit checks out, or whose booking ends, to review you a few hours later, and their reviews are labelled Verified visit. Customers who never check in can be invited too, from a list, your receipts or links after a sale. You never choose who is asked by what they might say, you never learn which invitation became which review, and anyone can stop being asked. Your website can show your rating badge free, and your latest reviews with the paid review tools.

Can our company sponsor a school or clinic?

Accepted Answer

Yes, through Agoo for Good. A company, a church, an old students’ group or one person can pay for a school’s, clinic’s or community group’s year on Agoo’s Community plan, and you don’t need an Agoo account. Send a pledge from the Agoo for Good page: name the places you support, or ask us to match you with verified places on our waiting list. Nothing is charged when you pledge. We ask for payment only once every front door in your pledge has a verified place, so you pay for places and never for promises. Then each place’s plan starts, and you get a receipt and, if you’d like to be named, a certificate to share. The place’s data stays its own, and it decides whether your name shows on its front door.

Can we tell you what to improve?

Yes. Anyone who uses Agoo can send feedback from the menu in the Console, and the link at the foot of our service emails opens the same form. Our team in Accra reads every message, and you choose whether we may reply to you. Your organisation never sees what you send.
